About This Course
OLA MOOC: “Creative Commons” gives the learner an overview of the theoretical educational approach, including practical examples, proposed by the European project OLA. The course aims to make learners able to design, implement and evaluate educational scenarios that are in line with the framework of Open Educational Resources (OER), as proposed by UNESCO, and OLA requirements. The course is structured in 5 Modules: Module 1 “Your rights”, Module 2 “Creative Commons (CC) Licenses”,Module 3 “Open Educational Resources”,Module 4 “Use cases, Module 5 “QUALITY EVALUATION QUESTIONNAIRE”.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the concept of Creative Commons licenses:
- Explain the purpose and benefits of Creative Commons licenses.
- Identify the different components of a Creative Commons license and their meanings.
- Differentiate between the various types of Creative Commons licenses and their specific permissions.
- Apply Creative Commons licenses to their own work:
- Determine which Creative Commons license is most appropriate for their creative works.
- Utilize online tools and platforms to apply Creative Commons licenses to their work effectively.
- Understand the implications of choosing different Creative Commons licenses for their desired usage and audience.
- Interpret and respect Creative Commons licenses in the context of reusing or remixing others' work:
- Analyze Creative Commons licenses associated with a given work to determine the permissions granted.
- Comply with the requirements and restrictions outlined by a Creative Commons license when reusing or remixing others' work.
- Attribute and give appropriate credit to the original creator when using content under Creative Commons licenses.

A certificate of achievement is provided to you if you successfully complete this course. The Certificate is free of charge. To complete this course, you must obtain at least a mark of 60% in answering the evaluation questionnaires included in the course at the end of the learning units or the modules.
