About This Course
OLA MOOC “What OER are” gives the learner an overview of the Open Educational Resources (OER) framework as proposed by UNESCO in the 2019 Recommendation on OER and contextualizes it within the OLA European project.
Within OLA, special value is given to specific competences like Personal, Social and Learning to Learn competence, Citizenship Competence, Digital Literacy and Video Literacy - including the critical and responsible use of digital content, the attention to identifying and not conveying stereotypes. Special value is also given to the STEAM approach, with reference to integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics with Arts and Humanities. Moreover, through this course the learner starts to familiarize with the concept of OLA educational scenario.
The MOOC is structured in 2 Modules: Module 1.1 “What OER are” and Module 1.2 “OER in OLA”. For each Module, we provide a video presentation, the relative slides in pdf, a list of references to deepen the subject.
Certification
A certificate of achievement is provided to you if you successfully complete this course. The Certificate is free of charge. To complete this course, you must obtain at least a mark of 60% in answering the questionnaires following each Module, which will be developed in the second phase of OLA MOOC release.
